Equipped with almost every option imaginable including the infamous Teletouch automatic transmission. #edsel #ford #1958

Super cool 1969 C10 Chevy Pickup with a surprise under the hood!
Переглядів 7073 місяці тому
Most Chevy Pickups nowadays have a pretty standard combo. Buy a truck, rub on some patina sauce and drop in a junkyard LS. But not Travis, from central Texas, he had a different idea - drop a Hemi and let the tires and other Chevy truck owners feel the pain. Yes Travis departed from the regular route and dared to be different. His power plant of choice, you may ask? None other than the fame 100...
My all-time favorite wagon - The story of my 1955 Ford Ranch Wagon
Переглядів 3203 місяці тому
I believe station wagons are the best old cars. They have room for stuff. People smile when then see them. I have owned several over the years, but my 1955 Ford Ranch Wagon has to be the one that really solidified my love for wagons. I had more fun with this car than any other and my niece agrees. She tells the story of the wagon and makes me wish I still had her. Also check out our wagon roadt...
Black 1969 Mustang and Black Sabbath's Paranoid , is there anything better?
Переглядів 27 тис.3 місяці тому
Spring has spring and it’s time to get those old beasts out of the barn. This is a 1969 Mustang that John wick would be jealous of and with Meg as the driver at least she won’t lay it to waste like the movie car. #ford #mustang #1969 #boss

If Bane had a car, don’t you think it would be a 1970 Dodge Charger? Batman can keep his Batmobile.

So no one is going to talk about Baywatch in the background?
I had a 67 GTA, I loved the fact it was a sleeper, especially since l grew up in Fremont 6 miles from drag strip, great car lots of great memories
Good story. I have a '67 T code, 3 spd. column shift.
Only 2 cars met those proposed safety regulations. The X and a Volvo, I can't remember the model. Off the top X (it's been years so if I'm wrong... too bad!) The X1 is the body type, in this case Passenger. The 9 designating this model being the 9th chassis to bear the X1 prototype designation. So it is in fact NOT an X nineteen, it is an X1/9. Yes they had mechanical issues, engine and electrics specific, but the chassis itself is absolutely amazing to drive.
Banned from the MAFCA? Now you know you’re on the right track. Banned? It’s a badge of honor!
Looks like a 1957 full size Ford. Very good!
Looks to be easy go back to a carb and return
Their were electric cars on the road before this car was originally made.
There were two badass guys that ordered the inaugural Ranchero with the supercharger package
Ran across this video while looking for something to display on screen #3 while working from home. What a great video and the music was absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Beautiful car
Ford.....forgive. our. Research. Department
Good candidate for a full restoration.
What about the 57 injected 283 chevs? NASCAR allowed them?
The slow power windows can be lubed to go up and down faster, the regulator just needs oil in a few places.
I can shift my 65 Coupe 408Stroker better than that and sounds better. 500+hp.
Need to learn how to shift that thing better than that.
Where is the Nostalgia in that having an electric motor driving an old classic like that at least it's a classic for some people especially being a Volvo
That's funny because 1/3 of the original model T's were Electric. You used electric in the city and alcohol in the country until of course Rockefeller got prohibition passed so he could could destroy all the alcohol stills in the country and get his petroleum oil gas stations built. After 13 years suddenly America no longer drunk too much alcohol and they could sell it again Amazing how that works isn't it?
Painting the battery box the original Ford engine green is a very nice touch. Really appreciate the engineering that went behind this conversion. I have seen many chops and hacks into electric, but to engineer this into a totally reversible back to its original engine is an awesome feed of engineering.
I love the vice grip garage references! Always a good time.
Volume leveling please. And for the love of God, please quit staring directly at the in-car camera. And wipe the lens. Otherwise, great work!
While in college I worked in the maintenance department for my work-study program. Soon they figured out that I grown up doing farm repairs. Instead of doing work on campus, they had me fixing all sorts of stuff. Like putting clutches in all sorts of tractors, n the like. The superintendent had a 31 sedan. He picked up a good running wrecked Ford Ranger. We put that 4 cylinder, transmission , and rear end under his A sedan. He didn't wanna drill any new holes in the A anywhere. I made up motor mounts , transmission mounts to bolt into holes already in the model A frame. Can't remember if it was a 4 or five speed , but it worked like a factory unit. He drove it on a regular basis after the swap. It was a good running factory original before , but he wanted it to be more driver friendly. The engine had the A/C compressor , but until I graduated, he hadn't added the A/C. That was the best time of my life during those years. The Superintendent begged me to get hired on after graduation. Everyone was retiring, and I would have had his job in less than five years. I'd now be retired with full state benefits by now.
How is it more reliable take it in the water 😂 let’s see it
Well done!!
The only conversion kit I saw cost $47,000.00. Not near worth it. I'll keep my 22R, thanks.
4x4 aren't really supposed to be fast. Just meant to be tough enough to go over rock, cross rivers, and get you home. I still don't see the need for this conversion.
I commuted 60 miles a day for over a week with our 1930 Model A pickup thats all original and unrestored. Even the newest tire is from 1980. Fun but time consuming. Even the old wiper got a little exercise. ua-cam.com/users/shortsFp45w888uBQ?feature=share
How much would this conversion cost?
I want one!
Watching this as I’m making parts for a model A right now lmao
What a great video and a wonderful way to spend time with your Dad.
Everyone at the Super Chargers going to give you that stink face stare!
they've made 2 door wagons from Toyota to Mercedes, Ford to Porsche but few have had much character.
A truly great video, had a 66gt in 70, made some memories too.
Русские есть ❤ ?
I had 5 X/9’s starting with a 74 and ending with a Bertone 1984. They were all reliable. 74 through 78 would go throughwheel bearings but they were a cheap repair. Hopefully they can reserve this car back to a combustible engine.
You inserted the timing pin into the flywheel to time it?? The cover on the front of the engine has a hole to insert the pin that engages with the indentation in the timing gear. So you have done this procedure 45 times and still can’t figure it out?? Holy shit, these cars are one of the simplest cars ever made…..wow????
I LOVE this so much! Fantastic example of the Engineer's Creed K.I.S.S.! If I ever win the lottery I will be buying a pre-war era Rolls Royce Phantom II and having it converted to an EV just like this!
the burnout was lame i had a 69 mach 1 with 69 302 2 barrel with larger jets headers re built engine it would smoke the tires 100 foot with 60 sereis 15 " tires auto c4trans no power brake just romp it !! but it would not handle curves very good no cash for front suspention mods back then wrecked it slightly sold it never should have done that but they were cheap back in the 80s
Wait until we take a EMP
I would not trade my 22R with a Tesla! Leave alone the high cost!
damn I really wanna do this with my Tacoma...
‘Montage’, the stuff of beer commercials ‘round the world
It is the car back in the days when mid-engine meant something
Great video... Had the same car (but green) in High School.
Awesome car! Loved those 66 and 67 Fairlanes.
The ICE. And it sounds way better too.
I want my Toyota done
70s imports from Europe or Japan lived longer and survived better in a place like California or some other no-salt-on-the-road areas. Also, you really don't see cars from the 70s or 80s on the roads these days from any country or make. They just weren't made that well. There may be the odd European luxury car like a BMW or Mercedes, but that's about it.
